CMC Antivirus – CMC Internet Security

CMC Antivirus and CMC Internet Security software have recently introduced by CMC Information Security Company (CMC InfoSec), a member of CMC Corporation. In particular, antivirus software owns its two versions, that is CMC Antivirus and CMC Internet are served for individual and enterprise users respectively. The softwares are self-developed by young, qualified and experienced staff in information security sector and network security, led by Mr. Trieu Tran Duc, CEO of CMC InfoSec.

With the capability of over 1.2 million types of virus/variants, everyday update of approximate 5,000 new virus, and 1.1 million download times, CMC Antivirus and CMC Internet Security has proved their quality equal to other international anti-

-virus softwares. The products are highly appreciated from functional agencies and a gamut of users.

It is considered as one of CMC’s important events to mark its obvious advance in network security and information security fields. In not-too-distant future, CMC expects to bring customers with the best quality products and software.

Accordingly, ANZ’s support in improving financial capability has remarkably reaffirmed CMC prestige and potential in comprehensive sectors, especially in telecommunication and electronics business, two of three development strategies of CMC Corp. up to 2010.

CMCSoft joins APEC outsourcing symposium

October 27-29, 2008, APEC outsourcing symposium was celebrated in Hanoi. CMCSoft was honorably invited to make a speech there.

The symposium on improving market access for ICT outsource SMEs was hosted by Vietnam Association of Information Processing with various participants from APEC bloc (Japan, Korea, India, China, USA and Vietnam, etc.), Vietnam government agencies, ICT institutes and centres. In addition to main topics, a panel discussion takes an important role in the symposium. There, all enterprises directly exchanged company information, introduce the products and services, and discover the demand with a view to push up the cooperation in software outsourcing field. At the symposium, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan titled as business development director shared CMCSoft experience in software outsourcing extracted from practice. On the occasion, CMCSoft image is accessed to over 200 customers by the sharing on opportunities and challenges.

Finland Approach Campaign

In order to strengthen business relationship between Vietnam and Finland, Vietnam Software Association (VINASA) and Embassy of Finland to Vietnam closely cooperated to carry out Finland Approach Campaign. Participants are composed of enterprises operating in software development and services, mobile application, digital content and games.

CMC Software Solution has been cordially invited to join the campaign. The company aimed at finding market information and setting up business contacts in Finland, a potential software market. During the business trip, the company took full advantage of introducing CMCSoft image and exchanging information with a number of Finnish software enterprises. As the result, CMCSoft has developed business relationship with some Finnish partners with a long-term cooperation prospect.

CMCSoft honorably named in Vietnam ICT Golden Cup award 2008

October 28, under 17^th IT week, Vietnam ICT Golden Cup award 2008 was formally organized. This annual event is hosted by Vietnam Association of Information Processing. In the term of best packaged software and commercial one, CMCSoft’s two products known as IU and Edocman solutions were respectively awarded the silver and bronze cup.

IU, the Intelligent University Solution, as an integrated information system includes

training management, administrative management, science research, human resources and salary management, as well as providing students with effective tools for finding and using information.

Edocman is the workflow and document management which allows all the documents of an organisation to be managed, archived, and exploited in a single database.

Outsourcing services: new market, new impetus

In October, CMCSoft has received two good news from oversea. Firstly, the project on human resource information system with Australian customer was officially checked and taken over. It is a comprehensive function system designed perform virtually all of tasks required by a Human Resource department for any company, both small and large. Next, CMCSoft has been recently chosen to develop web for two French companies, marking the company’s new step of targeting this market.

IT Security Day in Vietnam

On November 26, 2008, the 1^st IT Security Day in Vietnam will be organized in Hanoi. It will be annual event hosted by Vietnam Information Security Association under Ministry of Information and Communications.

The IT Security Day is to be organized in one day with the main contents: conference and exhibition on information security, competition on students’ knowledge of information security, training class on security technology and network security, etc. Also, policies, forms, measures applied in information security are discussed by leaders of Ministry of Information and Communications as well as representatives from international organizations and enterprises. Two most outstanding issues are: (1) Protecting national information infrastructure of state agency bloc ; (2) Applying security and

data in protecting information system of enterprises and society.

Learning experience from experts, developed countries and together discussion is the best way to gain a safe and developed information environment. (Vietnamnet)

Vietnam to host World IT Forum 2009

Vietnam will host the World Information Technology Forum 2009 in late August next year, announced the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The three-day event themed “Information technology for sustainable development” will be attended by some 1,500 delegates from almost 100 countries and territories across the world, most of them leaders, scientists and experts in the IT area.

The forum is scheduled to include eight plenary meetings and 32 subject discussions, focusing on women’s role in IT development, policies and experience of some countries in the IT development and the state-enterprise IT cooperation model.

The biennial World IT Forum was first held in 2003 by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) with the aims of promoting cooperation between countries in the IT area and assisting developing countries to apply IT into socio-economic areas. (Vietnambridge)
